Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal pernah bertanya kepada orang ramai : 

"Tahukah kalian, bagaimana seharusnya seorang muslim berdoa?" 

Orang ramai pun bertanya, "Bagaimana, wahai Imam?" 

"Tahukah kalian bagaimana perasaan seseorang yang berada di tengah gelombang lautan, sementara ia hanya memiliki sebatang kayu, dan kayu itu pun akan tenggelam juga? Kemudian orang itu berdoa dengan mengatakan : Ya Rabbi, selamatkanlah aku. Selamatkanlah aku."  

Maka, begitulah seharusnya kita berdoa. 

Bukan menadah tangan sedangkan jiwa kita jauh dari-Nya.

I received a news a few hours ago. If I say it was a good news, it definitely was not. A mixed feeling. I should be sad, but at the same time, I was glad. Glad that despite the bad side of it, there's still a good side. I don't know. I think I need someone to talk to, but at the same time, I think I need to be alone. Or maybe, I should just call them. 

Wahai adikku, sesungguhnya dunia ini bulat. Sesungguhnya dunia ini sementara. 

Wahai adikku, bila Allah ambil sesuatu dari kita, Dia pasti akan beri yang lebih baik dari itu.
