Let's go out and watch the shooting star together.

Beautiful Days [Arashi]

It's been a while since I last watched a J-dorama (Japanese drama series). No matter how I love to watch K-drama these days, J-dorama still has a special place in my heart. These few nights, I have been watching this J-dorama; Ryuusei no Kizuna or also known as Ties of Shooting Stars.

"When we grow up… We'll kill him together".
Koichi, Taisuke, and Shizuna are three siblings whose parents had been brutally murdered when they were just in elementary school, and they vowed to avenge their death. Fourteen years later, their vengeful plan unravels countless new facts. A shocking revelation leads to an overwhelmingly emotional ending. What will become of the siblings who have lived their lives solely in reliance of their bond alone?

This J-dorama is adapted from a novel under the genre mystery and suspense. Honestly, I decided to watch this J-dorama because of Nishikido Ryo (yeahhhhh) and also Ninomiya Kazunari (I only got to know him after watching the movie GANTZ). However, as I watched it episode by episode, this drama makes me think more about my own self. Questions like; 'What would I do if I were them?' or 'How would I feel if I were them?' or 'Why us?' keep popping inside my brain. Urghh, it is kind of disturbing but somehow, I am learning more about myself as I searched for the answer episode by episode. This is one of the reasons I like this type of drama. It makes you sit uncomfortably in your seat while watching as you see not the character but your own self in that character. Fuhhh, deep (konon).

Oh well, I have a few more episodes to go as I can't force my brain to watch all of the episodes in one night. They said the ending is very unexpected and unhappy, so yeah, I have to prepare myself. Talking about ending, I know that I have promised myself to watch more happy-ending type of drama, but please, please and please, even though the ending is not a happy one, please let me watch for the sake of my Nishikido Ryo. Pleaseeeeeeee.

How did I fall for someone, you asked?

Flowerpot [Alex Clazziquai]

I remember writing something about my random and weird way of defining attractiveness and someone dear to me asked; how did he (Gong Yoo) make me fall for him? It took me some time to even figure it out myself despite the fact that I did reply something which I thought had something to do with his smiles. However, as I spent more time thinking about it, I realised that it was not the only case.
I love smiles, especially those smiles which make you want to smile as well. The smiles which are expressed not only through the lips, but also the eyes. That type of smiles can completely take away my heart. However, when I looked through all the good looking actors with radiant smiles, I realised that their smiles alone cannot attract me. Their passion does. You see, when you look at someone who does something passionately or when you listen to someone who share their passion eagerly, you can see happiness in their eyes. The happiness that they feel from doing the thing that they are passionate about is reflected in their eyes and smiles. For me, this what makes them attractive. When people are passionate in something, they radiate happiness. This happiness that makes their smiles even more charming than they already are.
......................

Welcoming Gong Yoo to the list. He is surely a dashing lad. I fell for him after I watched an interview on a controversial film he acted a few years ago which sparks public outrage since its release. Despite the interview reveals how disturbed he was during the filming and after the filming (due to the social issue the film brings), the passion he has as an actor and the honest answers he gave make me feel like patting him on his back and telling him; "You are precious. Please teach me to be as passionate as you are in doing things that I am doing and will be doing in the future."

The magician of words.

I belong to me

I've been a person who loves words. Not that sweet-talk kind of words, but rather, deep yet meaningful words. That is why I've been loving the lyrics more than the tune of a song, loving the lines in the books and dramas no matter how sad or heavy the story is. I hope with my love for words, no matter how dark my soul is, I will be able deliver and convey more meaningful words which will not only touch the ears who listen, but also the souls who receive.

I have two actor biases in Korean entertainment industry. The two actors are Lee Dong Gun and Jang Dong Gun which I named them as my Dong-Gun line. I always take a great liking into watching the drama series that they are in, no matter how lousy the plot is. It is always this Dong-Gun line until one day, an actor with cheeky-boyish smiles entered my life and disturbed my Dong-Gun line. He is no other than our Gong Yoo. He is not that handsome, but he has his own charm. Urgghhhh, waeeeeee?! Just please stop smiling!
Huh? How about Kim Bum, you asked? What about him? Oh well, he has long gone from being one of my actor biases even before the dating news broke out. I didn't expect him dating Moon Geun Young to be honest with, but I am sure proud with him being honest about his relationship. I guess this year has been quite a dating year for most of our biases, my dear. No, no, no. I can't take him back. I am happy for him though but sorry Kim Bum, I'll have to let you go. Just please, don't throw your charming smiles at me again, or else...I might end up putting you in the list again, in which I will hate myself for doing that (urghhh me and my messed-up biases list problem). Bye bye my dear Kim Bum (deleting almost all his pictures in my laptop while silently reminiscing the smiles he brought upon my lonely soul once upon a time. cehhh poyo jer, padahal dok replay episode yang ada dia je heh, speaking of irony.)

Kim Bum's smiles are indeed radiant and shining. I'll just have to close my eyes then.

......................

These few days, I've been spending a few hours at night watching random drama series in my external hard disk. I simply watched a few random episodes from a few drama series that I had watched years ago. This has been quite a mundane routine (well, to watch the old series again is quite a boring thing to do especially when you know the plot) until one fine night, I suddenly clicked a folder of a drama that my friends used to watch and talk about it. However, being a temporarily-not-watching-any-drama girl at that time (yeahhh, those were the days I restrained myself from watching any drama series), I didn't watch it or even google about it. To cut things short, I finally watched the drama and maaaannnnn, I was a bit disappointed with how the drama goes and ends (urghhhh). There are so many things about that drama which attract a fussy drama fan like me (like the main actor's cheeky smile ;p ), however there are a lot more things that will attract me if there are a few changes on how the plot and the characters develop. If only they change the plot a bit, it will be an awesome romantic story. Oh well, look who's speaking. Are you a director? Ahhaha. But hey, this is what we call a review. We should reflect and review everything that we watch, read or even listen. We should not completely believe in something that people say or write unless we do a research or make sure the authenticity of it. It's not easy to do so but heyy we can learn day by day. Life is an ongoing learning process, so as long as we live, we learn (entah apa kaitan).
And by the way, the drama that I watched features on the love between a teacher, a student and a doctor. He he he. You choose.

......................

Honestly, I've been trying to watch more romantic-comedy type of drama
in comparison to the sad, dark and unhappy type of drama that I used to like.
People say, we are what we eat.
So I presume, we are what we watch too right?
Hopefully with more happy stories,
my story will be a happy one too ;)

Being a woman *while playing Britney Spears' Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman*, I often have this problem of feeling 'less than'. I believe all of us, or most of us, have this kind of problem every single day in our lives. No matter what people tell us, we still feel we lack something. That is why we often value ourselves less than we should. In my case, no matter what people say, I often feel I am unattractive, untalented and a total potato (why on earth potatooooo?! ahhaha but really, I do feel like a potato somehow). However, when my friends told me that they felt that they are unattractive, I tried to brush off their insecurities (yela tuh ahhaha) by telling them that they are nothing of sort as I could see how charming, attractive and beautiful they are inside out. But like me, no matter what I said, they still think they are less than what I told them and find that the compliments that I threw at them were just mere compliments and an exaggeration. But noooo, no no no, every one of you are beautiful in your own way. Why can't you believe meeeee?

No matter what people say, most of us still feel we are 'less than'. How can we cope with this?
Any idea?

...............................

Maybe we should learn to be grateful
and believe that He creates us
to be beautiful
 in our own way?

I was feeling bored and I stumbled upon this...

Ku tak sanggup lagi kehilangan

These are few questions asked in an interview! The answers are really stunning and inspiring. Thinking out of the box! A must read...

Question 1:
You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night, it’s raining heavily, when suddenly you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for a bus:
* An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
* An old friend who once saved your life.
* The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.
Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing very well that there could only be one passenger in your car?
This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.
He simply answered:
“I would give the car keys to my Old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams.”
Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations. Never forget to “Think Outside of the Box.”

Question 2:
What will you do if I run away with your sister?

The candidate who was selected answered ” I will not get a better match for my sister than you sir”

Question 3:
Interviewer (to a student girl candidate) – What is one morning you woke up & found that you were pregnant.

Girl - I will be very excited and take an off, to celebrate with my husband.
Normally an unmarried girl will be shocked to hear this, but she managed it well. Why I should think it in the wrong way, she said later when asked.

Question 4:
Interviewer: He ordered a cup of coffee for the candidate. Coffee arrived kept before the candidate, then he asked what is before you?
Candidate: Instantly replied “Tea”
He got selected.
You know how and why did he say “TEA” when he knows very well that coffee was kept before.
(Answer: The question was “What is before you (U – alphabet) Reply was “TEA” ( T – alphabet)
Alphabet “T” was before Alphabet “U”

Question 5;
Interviewer said “I shall either ask you ten easy questions or one really difficult question.
Think well before you make up your mind!” The boy thought for a while and said, “my choice is one really difficult question.”
“Well, good luck to you, you have made your own choice! Now tell me this. “What comes first, Day or Night?”
The boy was jolted into reality as his admission depends on the correctness of his answer, but he thought for a while and said, “It’s the DAY sir!”
“How” the interviewer asked,
“Sorry sir, you promised me that you will not ask me a SECOND difficult question!”

Sometimes just thinking out of the box is all it takes!

Dear sweetheart, where art thou?

Siberia [Backstreet Boys]

"We're all seeking that special person who is right for us. But if you've been through enough relationships, you begin to suspect that there's no right person, just different flavours of wrong. Why is this? Because you yourself are wrong in some way, and you seek out partners who are wrong in some complementary way. But it takes a lot of living to grow fully into your own wrongness. And it isn't until you finally run up against your deepest demons, your unsolvable problems--the ones that make you truly who you are--that we're ready to find a lifelong mate. Only then do you finally know what you're looking for. You're looking for the wrong person. But not just any wrong person: the right wrong person--someone you lovingly gaze upon and think, "This is the problem I want to have.
I will find that special person who is wrong for me in just the right way.
Let our scars fall in love.
