Today's date is once every four years. Wohoo.

Cry me a river

Note: The rule of reading a manga script is from the right to the left.

Replace the word "beach" with "home".
Okay, I admit. I am homesick. Heh.

Nicest place is to be in someone's thoughts

Be the strong you.

Last night, I called my grandma. For the very first time since that day. To tell you the truth, I didn't have the courage to call her, afraid that I will end up crying throughout the whole call. But, thinking of how lonely she would feel, living alone, I braced myself to call her. The moment I greeted her, I could sense her happiness and loneliness at the same time. I tried my best to not get my voice shaky or waver, but when she started to say how sorry she felt to me for not being able to meet my grandpa one more time, I just couldn't stop the tears from falling. Grandma, why would you feel sorry for me? I am the one who should worry and feel sorry for you. I am fine, it was hard to receive the news at first, but I am fine, as long as you are fine. It was hard, really, the moment I heard the news. I am the eldest grandchild, and I was more than helpless for not being able to be there, to look at my only grandpa that I had grown up with for the very last time. But dear grandma, as sad as I could be, you would be more sad than that. That is why, I pray to Him every single day, that He will keep you under His love and grace. Be the strong you dear, as I will always send my prayers to you from this land, far from home.

Mismatched eyes, you are getting old now.

You're my sunshine after the rain

Dear mismatched eyes,
You give really poor fan service. You’re blunt and honest to the point that it seems as though you’re being really mean to your fans. You insult others for smiling too much to the fans. You don’t like hugs and you scold your fans who think you are handsome. What is wrong with you?! Then again, what is wrong with me?! I actually feel drawn towards you even though you make no effort to win over fans. Urgh. I need to get away from you. Real fast. Or else...
By the way, I forgot to tell you this. Happy birthday, you blunt, snarky mismatched eyes. You seem to enjoy yourself too much, thinking that no matter what I will continue loving you. Oh, you are wrong. I have my own life, why on earth would I spend my time watching you? And how many times have I told you that you are just soooo delusional. And ignorant. Heh. Happy birthday and stay away from my life!
And oh, one more thing. Please stop buying all those expensive watches. It's bad for the economy. And my health. Believe me, it is. Urgh, from Glam Rock to Audemars Piguet. I know it's your money, but stop it. I warn you!

"There is no remedy for love but to love more."

No, no, no. You are definitely not my sunshine.
You're just my other definition of undefined storm.

I need to do my work! Stop distracting me, mismatched eyes.
Stay away from me, stay away! Or should I just close all the tabs about you?

Should I, or shouldn't I?

For respecting others is what he taught us.

Kasih sayang itu titi, kasih sayang penghubung hati

A few days ago, I was asked about a question which made me ponder. Despite the seemingly confident answer I gave that day, I couldn't stop myself from questioning my own answer. I am weird, I admit. I have like two different persons in my own self, and most of the times, those two persons often provoking each other. If one said one thing, another person will definitely question what the former said.

I'm not saying that I have multiple personalities disorder. I'm just saying that in all of us, we have different personalities in us. One; is when we are with other persons, and another one is; when we are alone.

I've been thinking in all my youth time, being in my own community, and being myself, how people are easy to judge others and categorise others; with or without they know it. Even I do it sometimes, no matter how I hate people doing that to me. And for every single time I do that, the two different personalities in me will start questioning each other and I end up blaming my own self for doing that.

I am no saint, I am far from being a good muslim, but I try my best, in every second I breathe to follow the perfect example of the best muslim; my role model. He was a great man, a man who treat all the human beings that he met with humility and respect. He was the man, who visited the old woman that used to throw him rubbishes every single time he passed her house, when one day he found out that same old woman fell sick. He was the man, who with smiles on his face, finished all the sour oranges that a woman gave, in order to prevent his companions from making faces or doing something that will hurt the woman's heart.

He was the very same man, who wrote "This is a message from Muhammad Ibn Abdullah, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them." He was the same man, who wrote Muhammad Ibn Abdullah instead of Muhammad, the Prophet of Allah, in the very same document, as a respect to the Christians who are not comfortable with it.

He was Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him); my role model.

It is sad to see how many muslims who declare they love this great man, but end up doing the opposite thing that he did. It is disappointing to see, muslims, who are taught and believe that Islam is a very beautiful and peaceful religion, end up doing something that Islam never teaches us to do. Prophet Muhammad is a great man, a man who obeys Allah, a man who practice Islam in every aspect of his life, a man who treats others with respect; no matter who they are or what their beliefs are.

Let us learn to respect others, respect their beliefs and respect their ways as Prophet Muhammad taught us. Stop criticising others, and learn to understand others. If we don't celebrate it, tell them we don't celebrate it, but we don't stop them from celebrating it, or criticising them for celebrating it. Respect others. How on earth we want people to respect us if we don't respect them. It's as simple as that.

"We used to say that those amongst us with the most sins
are those who spend their time talking about the sins of others."

: I'm sorry on behalf those muslims who don't show respect to others.
And I'm deeply sorry if I am one of them too,
for I am far from being a good muslim, but I am trying my best to.

How should I put this?

When I am down and oh my soul so weary

I need to write a draft of a chapter for my dissertation now, but I ended up writing this. Talking about procrastination inspiration.

So many things happened. I just can't take it at some points, to be honest with, but His love is what makes me keep walking, despite the fact that I always stumble and fall along this journey. Oh Allah, please grant me strength.

To listen well you need to hear what is not being said too.

Honestly, I didn't have time to watch any variety shows or listen to K-pop like I used to these days. I was so busy with a lot of things. And doing nothing was one of them. *sigh

I find myself loving aubergines these days.

I hope you are doing fine there. Haven't heard from you for so long. Anything just mention me, okay?

Still learning to be a better me each day. Still learning to be a better muslimah each second. Please pray for me.

Do you know what is the farthest thing from us? No, not the sun. No, not the other galaxy. The farthest thing from us is: yesterday.

My parents look thinner than before. It makes me quite sad and hurt to see them in that state. Oh Allah, please take care of them, just like how they take care of me when I was young.

First rule in making popcorn: Don't be greedy. Put only a teaspoon of it. It's more than enough.

What's important to my friends, is important to me, no matter how trivial it is.

I bet your legs must be tired, because you've been running through my head all day long. e he he hee.

I can't brag about my love for Allah because I fail Him daily, but I can brag about His love for me because it never fails.

A news back from home.

Innalillahi wainna ilahi rojiun. From Him, we come and to Him, we return.

"It is a curious thing, the death of a loved one. We all know that our time in this world is limited, and that eventually all of us will end up underneath some sheet, never to wake up. And yet it is always a surprise when it happens to someone we know. It is like walking up the stairs to your bedroom in the dark, and thinking there is one more stair than there is. Your foot falls down, through the air, and there is a sickly moment of dark surprise as you try and readjust the way you thought of things."
